We stopped in for some sushi rolls and were pretty impressed! The tuna was especially great. Protein portions within the sushi were above average and the fish tasted very fresh. Our server was great.
Finally went in here for a special occasion and was pleased with the decision. The outside is very unassuming as it is located in the middle of a strip mall. We walked in and saw the restaurant was nicely decorated. It is separated with regular tables on one side and the hibachi-style cooking area/tables. The service from the entire staff was perfect...they were friendly and generous. The food was great and the experience with the hibachi chef was awesome. Definitely will return and try the regular menu/sitting area.
The other night around 9:30 pm my girlfriend and I head out for sushi, I know it was late but Ichiban was open until 10:30 and we were hungry after a long day. We arrived at Ichiban and were told that they stopped seating at 9:00 and we could order take out. I was moody so I declined and we head across the road to Mizuki in the CVS shopping plaza. Talk about trusting your gut! We were greeted by a very friendly host, sat and were offered beverages. We had hot tea and ordered the sushi sashimi boat for two. They started us with miso soup, delicious and a typical salad with carrot ginger dressing which although was watery was very tasty. The sushi and sashimi boat arrived and it was just beautiful. The fish was absolutely delicious and fresh and the California roll and Snow White roll were delicious. We can't wait to go back. The restaurant itself is very cozy with the hibachi section separated from the a la carte section. Overall a great experience, delicious food and beautiful presentation. Highly recommended!
I went here with my girlfriend last night and had an amazing experience at the hibachi table. We had the best filet mignon ever along with some shrimp. The hibachi chef even did a few tricks like flipping slices of zucchini in our mouths and squirting sake into our mouths which was exciting. The prices are fair for dinner $75 for 2 isn't outrageous these days for a big hibachi meal anymore. Our meals included a shrimp shumai appetizer and 2 house salads and 2 miso soups which should always be a prerequisite with any Japanese meal. I can't wait to go back again with my lover and best friend for another great dinner date together. This is our new special date spot in Ledgewood.
I was in the mood for Asian cuisine and ordered from this spot. I ordered via phone the shrimp hibachi lunch special. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and went to the register. My food took a few minutes to come out. I paid and left when it did. When I dug in it was very good. I enjoyed the flavors of the shrimp and the vegetables. I will definitely try this spot again.
